3. How We Use Your Information
- Service operation: To provide, maintain, and improve the NDT Logbook application.
- Verification: To send email and SMS verification requests to signing technicians you designate.
- Exports: To generate PDF reports containing your logged data.
- Communication: To send account-related emails (verification, password reset, service updates).
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with row-level security policies.
- Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with encrypted credentials.
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- We do not store passwords in plain text.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the application:
- Supabase: Database and authentication (Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare: Website hosting and CDN (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
- SendGrid: Transactional email delivery for verification requests
- Twilio: SMS delivery for verification requests
- Google Cloud Vision: OCR processing for logbook image imports (images are processed and not retained)
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Your data is only shared in these limited circumstances:
- When you initiate a verification request, the entry details and your name are shared with the designated technician.
- When required by law or legal process.
- With third-party service providers listed above, solely for operating the Service.
7. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
- You may export your data at any time using the built-in export feature.
- Upon account deletion, your data will be removed from active systems within 30 days.
- Backups may retain data for up to 90 days after deletion.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data through the application or by contacting us.
- Correct your data by editing your profile and log entries.
- Export your data in PDF format at any time.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
The web application uses browser local storage to maintain your login session and cache data for offline access. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for professional use and is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
